Here is a press release that discusses the second leg of the Dangerous Summer tour as well giving some more information regarding Bobby’s plans for the rest of the year!

Bobby Long Tour news

Bobby Long will be back in America this week to play CMJ music industry festival in NYC. This show will be the first gig on the second leg of The Dangerous Summer / Fall Tour that Bobby Long embarked upon on the 24th July. The tour has taken in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Spain and the UK and is now set to continue with a further 38 US shows before ending at the Mercury Lounge in NYC on the 19th December.

Bobby Long’s European dates, which have taken place over the last month, have been very successful many shows sold out in just a few days, prompting Long’s manager Phil Taylor to book a more extensive European tour to include the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Austria. These new European dates are set for mid January 2010, and will be announced officially in the next week.

Says Taylor, “We were holding off booking a longer European tour in January, as we have been waiting for confirmation of dates in Australia, New Zealand and Japan for that period. Unfortunately these dates were not confirmed in time for our plans, so we have decided that Bobby Long will tour Europe again in January and February before heading back to America for SXSW and another major American and Canadian tour from late March to August.” “Bobby and I were really looking forward to him playing for the many Australian fans who email us, but I am sorry to say we will have to wait a little longer before getting over there.”

Bobby has been in the studio this week with Liam Watson at Toe Rag Studios in east London. Early rough mixes are sounding very strong and Bobby has clearly gelled with his band. So far five tracks are complete and ready to be mixed.

Tickets for The Dangerous Summer / Fall Tour are selling well in all territories in the US and once again most shows are expected to sell out. Several new shows were added last week and can be seen on Bobby’s myspace at www.myspace.com/musicbobbylong

Hello Every one.

I wanted to let you know where Bobby and I are up to quickly before I check my email again one last time tonight!

Firstly, a huge thank you to all the people in France, Spain and Germany who have made touring in Europe over the last few weeks so special! All the gigs have been great and its been nice to put faces to the names so many people who have been helping Bobby and I out for the last 10 months!

There are a lot of new USA Dangerous Fall Tour dates up on Bobby’s myspace today and there will be a few more in the next couple of days. There are going to be a few surprises along the way and a lot of “must see’ performances. Bobby has taken well to constant touring and his live show and delivery get better and more powerful each night.

The New Orleans gig will be a killer show, fantastic venue in the very heart of the old town, if you’ve never been the NO now is your chance!. At the Boulder show Bobby is set to take the stage 1 hour after Sam Bradley comes off stage only 800 meters down the same road, so Bobby and I are really looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends at that one!

There is a string of gigs in Texas, mostly because they shouted at me quite loudly from all the way down there! Road trip any one? The San Diego gig is always special so try to get to that! In Memphis Bobby will play two sets and its a big fancy dress show with tickets only available on the door on the night. Tickets to the Nashville gig on the 1st November will go on sale once the gig there on the 2nd has sold out (which it nearly has). Then Bobby will hit Vicksburg TN having been booked by the good ladies of the town! That show is going to be fantastic, full of the warmest Southern Hospitality! Bobby’s first ever Hard Rock Café concert is booked in Pittsburgh on the 17th Dec 60 ALL AGES tickets for this gig are available now. Then on the 19th Bobby will play his most important show any where in the world to date at The Mercury Lounge in NYC where the eyes of the “industry” will be upon him. I would love for this show to sell out by the end of October!

After The Mercury Lounge Bobby will break for about a month before touring Europe (rough dates below). We have tried to visit as many of the places in America and Germany where people requested gigs, as possible. If I have missed your town out this time Bobby will be back very soon to show you what you missed. There will be a couple of additions to the dates but so far The Dangerous Fall dates are as follows….

Bobby just posted a new blog onto his myspace. The first part of the Dangerous Summer Tour has come to an end and Bobby explains all of his mixed emotions in this most recent blog.
“Putting an end to the first leg of the Dangerous Summer Tour left with mixed emotions mainly of sadness and happiness. The main thing I have taken away from all of this is that I have never been happier on tour and at the moment I can’t see myself ever not wanting to be on tour.”

Bobby Long – Canada Part Deux!

Great news for Canadian fans of Bobby Long – an update from the road has advised that Bobby’s Canadian work visa has been approved, and he will be headed back for multiple shows and some special new appearances!

Says manager Phil Taylor:

please help me spread the word that Bobby’s Canadian work visa has been approved and so the three Canadian dates, Montreal 5th September, Toronto 6th September and the rescheduled Vancouver show 7th September, are now all confirmed.

Bobby and I are both really excited about being able to get in to Canada for these gigs. Bobby has also been booked to record a live session and interview for Good Morning Canada and MTV Canada on the 4th September. So there will be new TV clips available soon.

We would like to thank the various people in Canada and the USA who have helped rush these visa’s through the various departments in the Canadian Immigration Office.
